A pretty + delicious variation to the regular ol' yellow lemonade.
This is best when made with in-season strawberries picked from your own garden or the local strawberry farm.
1 cup raw sugar
1 cup water
1 pint strawberries, fresh + washed
1 cup lemon juice, fresh squeezed
1 1/2 cups + 4 - 6 cups cold water
Combine sugar + 1 cup water in a saucepan. Heat on medium until sugar is completely dissolved, stirring frequently. Let cool. When syrup has cooled, puree strawberries in a blender with 1/2 cup water. In a large pitcher, combine strawberry puree, syrup, + lemon juice. Add in 4 to 6 cups of cold water. You can add as little or as much as you want to achieve your perfect sweet/tart balance. Serve with fresh strawberry + lemon slice over ice.
