2/3 cup rubbing alcohol 99%

1/3 cup liquid witch hazel

1/4 teaspoon vitamin E oil

optional:

10 drops tea tree essential oil or an essential oil blend or lavender, vanilla, peppermint, grapefruit

Add essential oils + vitamin E oil to a small glass bowl, stir to mix. Stir alcohol + liquid witch hazel into the oils. Use a funnel to transfer mixture to a small spray bottle or scale to fit a clean recycled spray bottle that you have to put it in.

Tea Tree essential oil (also called melaleuca by some) or a blend like DoTerra's OnGuard are my first choices, but you are free to use whatever essential oil you would like (or not).

And where do you get vitamin E oil, you ask?

The easiest is to get a bottle of cheap Vitamin E caplets in the vitamin aisle at the grocery store. You'll just take a sewing needle + dip it in rubbing alcohol then puncture one end of the gel caplet with the needle + squirt out as much oil as you need by repeating with puncturing more caplets. Or you can also substitute the vitamin E oil with fractionated coconut oil or olive oil. The oil is just to help re-moisturize your skin because rubbing alcohol (with its ultra-cleaning properties) tends to dry it out with repeated application to your skin.

Also, the combination of these ingredients is just a suggestion; as with all recipes, you are free to change it up according to your needs + desires.

Important Note: Hand Sanitizer Gel or Spray is good to use in a pinch for a quick sanitization of your hands when access to soap + water are literally out of reach. But when you get to a place where you can wash your hands please do so as nothing beats a good 20 second hand washing! : )
